Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)

उपयाजवच: श्र॒ुत्वा याजस्याश्रममभ्यगात्‌ । अभिसम्पूज्य पूजाहमथ याजमुवाच ह

upayājavacaḥ śrutvā yājasya āśramam abhyagāt | abhisampūjya pūjārham atha yājam uvāca ha |

杜卢帕陀王听罢优波耶阇之言,便前往耶阇的住林。礼敬并供养这位当受敬仰的圣者之后,王遂对耶阇开口。此段凸显一种现实的伦理张力:即便私下不赞同他人的行止,为了正当目的仍可恭敬相就,在言语与行为上守持礼法与达摩。
