FAQs

It frames nyāsa, ṣaḍaṅga-rite, and digbandhana as essential preliminaries of Linga-pūjā, ensuring the worshipper’s body and space are made fit (śuddha and rakṣita) for approaching Pati (Shiva).

By emphasizing complete viniyoga and protective rites, the verse implies Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord who is accessed through disciplined mantra-śāstra and purified embodiment, lifting the paśu from pāśa through right practice.

Mantra-nyāsa with ṣaḍaṅga (heart, head, tuft, armor, eyes, weapon) and digbandhana—ritual-yogic techniques that internalize Shiva-mantra and seal the quarters, aligning the practitioner with Pāśupata-oriented worship.
