Pāśupata-vrata Māhātmya: Dvādaśa-Liṅga Mahāvrata, Month-wise Dravya, and Pūjā-krama
vidyārthī labhate vidyāṃ bhogārthī bhogamāpnuyāt dravyārthī ca nidhiṃ paśyed āyuḥkāmaś cirāyuṣam
Suta Goswami
It functions as a phala-śruti, stating that sincere Liṅga-upāsanā yields specific aims—knowledge, enjoyment, wealth, and longevity—showing Śiva as the giver of both worldly and higher welfare.
Śiva (Pati) is implied as the sovereign dispenser of fruits (phala-dātā) who can uplift the paśu from pāśa by grace, granting outcomes according to intention and devotion.
Liṅga-pūjā/Śiva-sevā is implied; the key practice is intention-led devotion and worship directed to the Liṅga, aligning the seeker’s aim with Śiva’s anugraha (grace).
