应依仪轨次第,于北方位礼拜五种作业根,并礼拜诸知根;亦当于六角分位中供奉。如此将诸根诸识奉献于主宰Pati—湿婆,以令系缚之绳pāśa从众生之魂paśu上渐得松解。
Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva-puja vidhi to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It instructs that Linga-puja includes mandala-based worship of the indriyas (senses), symbolically surrendering them to Śiva so the paśu’s worldly drives become purified and fit for liberation.
Śiva is implied as Pati—the Lord who receives even the senses as offerings—showing that true worship is inner consecration where the powers that bind the soul are redirected toward the Supreme.
Directional/mandala worship (nyāsa-like placement) of karmendriyas and jñānendriyas, aligning with Pāśupata discipline of indriya-saṁyama (sense-restraint) as part of Linga-puja.
