Adhyaya 73 — त्रिपुरदाहे ब्रह्मस्तवः
Brahmā’s Hymn in the Context of Tripura’s Burning
हत्वा भित्त्वा च भूतानि दग्ध्वा सर्वमिदं जगत्
hatvā bhittvā ca bhūtāni dagdhvā sarvamidaṃ jagat
Suta Goswami
It frames the Liṅga as the transcendent Pati beyond creation and destruction—worship centers on the Reality that withdraws the entire jagat at pralaya, guiding the pashu beyond pāśa.
Śiva-tattva is shown as the supreme sovereign power over dissolution—able to destroy, shatter, and burn the manifested cosmos, indicating lordship (aiśvarya) over all bhūtas and worlds.
Pralaya-bhāvanā (contemplation of dissolution) and vairāgya: a Pāśupata-aligned practice of loosening attachment to bhūtas and the jagat while fixing awareness on Śiva as Pati.
