It underlines that worldly power and even divinely-created forces cannot accomplish the final victory without Shiva’s sanction—supporting Linga worship as reliance on Pati (Shiva) rather than on secondary powers.
By implication, it presents Shiva-tattva as the decisive, unsurpassed agency: when boons and karmic protections bind events, only the supreme Pati can override those bonds; other beings remain limited instruments.
The takeaway aligns with Pāśupata orientation: cultivate surrender and worship (śaraṇāgati and pūjā) to Shiva as Pati, recognizing the inadequacy of mere created means without divine anugraha.
