Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्
क्षोभयामास योगेन परेण परमेश्वरः प्रधानं पुरुषं चैव प्रविश्य स महेश्वरः
kṣobhayāmāsa yogena pareṇa parameśvaraḥ pradhānaṃ puruṣaṃ caiva praviśya sa maheśvaraḥ
以至上瑜伽之力,至主帕拉梅湿伐罗激荡普拉达那(原初自然)与补鲁沙(觉知原则);大自在天入于二者之中,遂令创生之轮转动。

It grounds Linga worship in metaphysics: the Linga signifies Pati (Śiva) who pervades and activates Pradhāna and Puruṣa, so worship is directed to the inner Lord who empowers all manifestation.
Śiva is shown as Parameśvara and Maheśvara—transcendent yet immanent—who, by supreme Yoga, enters the fundamental principles and initiates their function, remaining the sovereign controller (Pati) beyond Pāśa.
The verse highlights ‘para-yoga’—Śiva’s supreme yogic power as the inner mover; for practitioners, it points to Pāśupata-oriented contemplation of Śiva as the indwelling ruler of body-mind and the tattvas.
