FAQs

It emphasizes mantra-japa with Oṃ and strict sense-restraint as the inner prerequisite for effective worship—without indriya-nigraha, external Linga-puja remains incomplete.

By prescribing Praṇava-yukta salutation to the indwelling Lord, it points to the Supreme Pati as the inner Self of all—consistent with Shaiva Siddhanta’s view that liberation arises when the paśu turns inward from pāśa through disciplined devotion.

Mantra-japa joined with Praṇava and indriya-nigraha (sense control), a foundational discipline aligned with Pāśupata-oriented sādhanā and preparatory yogic restraint.
