जम्बूद्वीपस्य नववर्षविभागः रुद्रस्य अष्टक्षेत्रसन्निधिः नाभि-ऋषभ-भरतकथा

तस्मात्तु भारतं वर्षं तस्य नाम्ना विदुर्बुधाः भरतस्यात्मजो विद्वान् सुमतिर्नाम धार्मिकः

tasmāttu bhārataṃ varṣaṃ tasya nāmnā vidurbudhāḥ bharatasyātmajo vidvān sumatirnāma dhārmikaḥ

因此,智者皆知此地名为“婆罗多界”(Bhārata-varṣa),以婆罗多之名而称。婆罗多之子名苏摩提(Sumati),博学而持法,端正贤善。
