यज्ञोपवीती देवानां निवीती ऋषीतर्पणे / प्राचीनावीती पित्र्ये तु स्वेन तीर्थेन भावतः

供奉诸天之仪,当以上衣式(upavīta)佩戴圣线(yajñopavīta);为圣仙行塔尔帕那时,当以垂挂式(nivīta)佩戴;而祖先(pitṛ)之祭,则当以向前式(prācīnāvīta)佩戴——并各依其所定之“渡口/手位”(tīrtha)而行,怀以相应的虔敬之心。
