当如法行作诸般 pūrti(圆满功德与公共善业)之时,也应忆念婆苏提婆——哈利。如此所作之业,皆成令哈利欢喜之业。
Lord Vishnu (speaking to Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Karma becomes spiritually efficacious and pleasing to Hari when performed properly and accompanied by Vāsudeva-smaraṇa.
Vedantic Theme: Karma-yoga principle: offering (īśvara-arpana) transforms action; devotion integrates with merit-making.
Application: When doing charity or public-benefit works, begin with a brief remembrance/japa of ‘Vāsudeva’ and maintain a dedicatory intention that the act is for Hari’s pleasure.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.29 (act-linked remembrance; Hari-prīti as criterion of dharma)
This verse says that pūrti—meritorious works and proper ritual completion—becomes spiritually effective when done correctly and accompanied by remembrance of Vāsudeva (Hari).
It teaches that correct performance alone is not the full measure; adding Hari-smaraṇa (remembrance of Vishnu) transforms deeds into acts that directly please Hari, integrating karma with bhakti.
When performing charity, ancestral rites, or any religious duty, do it carefully and consciously invoke/remember Vishnu—so the act is aligned with devotion and higher purpose.
