Acyuta/Vāsudeva Stotra: Avatāra-Salutations, Ritual Totality, Forgiveness Prayer, and Phalaśruti
ग्रावाणः सकलं त्वं हि सदस्यास्त्वं सदाक्षिणः / त्वं सूर्पादिस्त्वं च ब्रह्मा मुसलोलूखले ध्रुवम्
grāvāṇaḥ sakalaṃ tvaṃ hi sadasyāstvaṃ sadākṣiṇaḥ / tvaṃ sūrpādistvaṃ ca brahmā musalolūkhale dhruvam
诚然,你即是一切:你即是磨石;你即是集会的诸参与者,亦是恒常慷慨施与祭资(dakṣiṇā)者。你即是簸箕等诸家用器具;你亦是梵天——确然连在臼与杵之中也常住。
Lord Vishnu (teaching Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Sarva-vyāpti in the ordinary: the Lord/Brahmā is present in ritual stones and in household tools; no domain is ‘profane’ when seen rightly.
Vedantic Theme: Immanence (antarvyāpti) and the sanctification of karma through right vision; echoes of ‘brahmaiva sarvam’ applied to daily life.
Application: Practice ‘smṛti’ while doing chores; offer food-preparation and work as worship; honor community/participants (sadasya) and fair compensation (dakṣiṇā) as sacred duties.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Type: ritual assembly/domestic space
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.234.32-33 (yajña identity continued)
This verse emphasizes all-pervasiveness: even ordinary items like mortar, pestle, and winnowing basket are to be regarded as imbued with the Divine, making daily life and ritual acts spiritually meaningful.
By identifying the Divine with ritual roles (assembly members) and ritual ethics (dakṣiṇā), the verse links correct conduct—respect, generosity, and reverence—to a sacred worldview where no act is merely mundane.
Treat work, household duties, and charitable giving as sacred: act carefully, avoid disrespect to people and tools, and practice generosity (dakṣiṇā/charity) as part of dharma.
