既已败坏脂(vasa)等相关组织,又因枯燥而致血之耗竭或外泄,遂令身中诸道(srotas)渐趋衰损。其进展仍循先前所说之程式,依旧而行。
Lord Vishnu (speaking to Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Raukṣya (dryness) vitiates meda/vasā and leads to rakta-kṣaya/vimokṣa and srotas-saṅkṣaya; disease follows a patterned progression.
Vedantic Theme: Causality (kārya-kāraṇa) in the body mirrors broader order; understanding sequence reduces delusion and supports right action.
Application: Attend early to dryness and tissue depletion; monitor systemic ‘channel’ function (circulation, digestion, respiration) and seek timely treatment to prevent srotas-kṣaya.
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.162.10-13 (doṣa signs leading into systemic involvement)
This verse highlights that when tissues like fat and blood are disturbed or depleted, the body’s channels waste away, indicating deeper systemic decline rather than a superficial illness.
The verse is medical in focus; indirectly, it supports dharma by emphasizing preserving health, since bodily decline can obstruct ritual life and disciplined spiritual practice.
Chronic dryness, weakness, and signs of depletion should be addressed early with nourishing and restorative measures, since progressive “channel wasting” suggests worsening systemic imbalance.
