tau tu gīrvāṇa-ṛṣabhau dustarād dhari-lokataḥ hata-śriyau brahma-śāpād abhūtāṁ vigata-smayau

然而那两位门卫，乃天众之翘楚，却因婆罗门的诅咒而光彩与威仪尽失；他们傲慢消散、心生忧戚，从哈利之居——毗昆塔——堕落而下。
