The Lord’s Apology to the Kumāras and the Fall of Jaya and Vijaya

It recalls that an incident was foretold earlier: Śrī Lakṣmī (Ramā) was once stopped at the gate while coming to serve Lord Viṣṇu, and she became angered.
He cites it as a prior indication (a foretelling) connected with the gatekeepers’ situation—showing that events in Vaikuṇṭha unfold by divine arrangement and have consequences in the Lord’s pastimes.
Even in sacred service, offenses and harsh gatekeeping can create suffering; devotees should cultivate humility, respectful conduct, and carefulness in serving and dealing with others.
