Diti’s Untimely Desire and the Birth-Cause of the Asura Line
Prelude to Hiranyākṣa–Varāha

śrī-śuka uvāca niśamya kauṣāraviṇopavarṇitāṁ hareḥ kathāṁ kāraṇa-sūkarātmanaḥ punaḥ sa papraccha tam udyatāñjalir na cātitṛpto viduro dhṛta-vrataḥ
This verse shows Vidura’s spiritual hunger: even after hearing about the Lord’s Varāha form, he asks again, demonstrating that genuine devotion seeks deeper hearing and understanding of Hari’s glories.
Because Vidura was dhṛta-vrata—firmly dedicated to spiritual inquiry—and the narration of the Lord (especially His Varāha līlā connected to creation) increased his eagerness rather than ending it.
Approach sacred study with humility (folded hands), learn from authentic teachers, and keep asking sincere questions—revisiting topics until understanding and devotion become steady.
