Varāha-avatāra: The Boar Incarnation Lifts the Earth and Slays Hiraṇyākṣa
manur uvāca ādeśe ’haṁ bhagavato varteyāmīva-sūdana sthānaṁ tv ihānujānīhi prajānāṁ mama ca prabho
It shows Manu’s ideal dharmic attitude: he commits to act strictly according to the Supreme Lord’s order, demonstrating surrender and disciplined obedience as a form of devotion.
In the context of the earth’s restoration during the Varaha narrative, Manu seeks the Lord’s sanction for an appropriate abode/arrangement so his progeny can be properly situated and governed according to divine order.
Align duties—family, work, leadership—with higher principles (dharma), and seek divine guidance so responsibilities are carried out with humility, accountability, and service-mindedness.
