Brahmā’s Creation: The Kumāras, Rudra, the Prajāpatis, and the Manifestation of Vedic Sound
aho adbhutam etan me vyāpṛtasyāpi nityadā na hy edhante prajā nūnaṁ daivam atra vighātakam
This verse shows Brahmā acknowledging that even sincere, constant effort can be checked by daiva—divine arrangement—indicating that outcomes are not controlled by endeavor alone.
In the creation narrative of Canto 3, Brahmā finds that despite his engagement in generating progeny, population does not expand as expected, so he recognizes a higher arrangement influencing results.
Do your duty with steadiness, but accept that results may be delayed or blocked; respond by refining your approach, remaining humble, and aligning your work with dharma and prayerful dependence on the Divine.
