prajāpater aṅgirasaḥ svadhā patnī pitṝn atha atharvāṅgirasaṁ vedaṁ putratve cākarot satī
Svadhā is described as the wife of Prajāpati Aṅgirā; in this verse she is connected with the Pitṛs (forefathers) and is said to accept the Atharvāṅgirasa Veda as her son, indicating her role in sacred lineage and ritual tradition.
This verse links the Pitṛs with Svadhā, presenting them as recipients of honor and as part of the cosmic, dharmic arrangement of progeny and ritual order established through Prajāpatis.
It highlights respect for sacred tradition—honoring forefathers and valuing Vedic wisdom—encouraging gratitude, responsibility to one’s lineage, and reverence for scriptural knowledge.
