Ajāmila Delivered: Viṣṇudūtas Establish the Supremacy of the Holy Name
athāpi me durbhagasya vibudhottama-darśane bhavitavyaṁ maṅgalena yenātmā me prasīdati
As stated in Caitanya-caritāmṛta ( Madhya 22.54) :
This verse shows Ajāmila’s realization that even an “unfortunate” person can receive auspicious divine intervention—mercy that grants darśana of the Lord’s messengers and brings inner peace.
Because their unexpected appearance saved him from fear and punishment; he understood that such a vision is not accidental but the result of auspicious destiny and higher compassion.
Even if one feels unworthy, one can turn toward devotion—seeking holy association and sincere remembrance of God—trusting that genuine spiritual effort invites auspicious change of heart.
