Parīkṣit Confronts Kali: Dharma (Bull) and Bhūmi (Cow) at the Dawn of Kali-yuga
iyaṁ ca bhūmir bhagavatā nyāsitoru-bharā satī śrīmadbhis tat-pada-nyāsaiḥ sarvataḥ kṛta-kautukā
This verse says the earth becomes auspicious and joyfully transformed by the Lord’s foot-imprints, indicating His presence purifies and sanctifies creation.
The earth is burdened by irreligion and sinful rulers; the Lord’s intervention and His sacred presence relieve that burden and restore auspiciousness.
By honoring the Lord’s feet through bhakti—hearing, chanting, and pilgrimage to His līlā-sthānas—one brings sanctity and spiritual joy into one’s surroundings.
