एवं तव भारतोत्तम जम्बूद्वीपवर्षविभागो यथोपदेशमुपवर्णित इति ॥ ३१ ॥
evaṁ tava bhāratottama jambūdvīpa-varṣa-vibhāgo yathopadeśam upavarṇita iti.
婆罗多后裔中最卓越的帕利克希特王啊,我已依所受教诲,如是为你叙述了阎浮提之中婆罗多国土及其相邻诸岛的分布;此等诸岛合成阎浮提。
Thus end the Bhaktivedanta purports of the Fifth Canto, Nineteenth Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, entitled “A Description of the Island of Jambūdvīpa.”
In this verse, Śukadeva concludes that he has described—according to authoritative instruction—the regional divisions (varṣa-vibhāga) within Jambūdvīpa for Parīkṣit Mahārāja.
Śukadeva is closing his explanation of Jambūdvīpa’s geography in Canto 5, Chapter 19, confirming that the description follows the traditional, taught account and is complete for Parīkṣit’s inquiry.
The verse models hearing śāstra through authentic lineage—encouraging students to learn spiritual truths from reliable sources and to approach knowledge with humility and devotion.
