Concise Bhāgavata Account
पुत्रान् स्वमातरस्तास्तु प्राणांस्तन्व इवोत्थिता: । आरोप्याङ्केऽभिषिञ्चन्त्यो बाष्पौघैर्विजहु: शुच: ॥ ४७ ॥
putrān sva-mātaras tās tu prāṇāṁs tanva ivotthitāḥ āropyāṅke ’bhiṣiñcantyo bāṣpaughair vijahuḥ śucaḥ
见到自己的儿子们,那些母亲立刻起身,仿佛失神之躯重获生气。她们把儿子抱在膝上,以泪流如注为其沐浴,从而卸下久别的忧苦。
It describes the mothers’ overwhelming relief and love on regaining their sons—so intense that they weep streams of tears and their sorrow disappears.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates this verse to King Parīkṣit as part of the account in the Ninth Canto.
It highlights how genuine reunion and loving connection can dissolve grief—encouraging compassion, family care, and gratitude when loved ones are restored or protected.
