FAQs

This verse shows that after hearing bhāgavata-dharma, King Janaka became pleased and properly honored the Jāyanteya sages, illustrating that respect and worship of saintly devotees is a natural response to true spiritual understanding.

Because the teachings of bhāgavata-dharma awakened joy and reverence in him; recognizing the sages as carriers of divine wisdom, he honored them—along with his own preceptor—according to proper Vedic etiquette.

Seek genuine spiritual instruction, then express gratitude through respectful conduct—listening attentively, serving without pride, supporting authentic dharma work, and valuing saintly character over status.
