The Disappearance of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa and the Aftermath in Dvārakā
śrī-śuka uvāca atha tatrāgamad brahmā bhavānyā ca samaṁ bhavaḥ mahendra-pramukhā devā munayaḥ sa-prajeśvarāḥ
This verse indicates a major divine moment in the narrative, where the principal cosmic administrators—Brahmā, Śiva, Indra, along with sages and Prajāpatis—assemble as witnesses to events connected with the Lord’s unfolding plan.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is speaking, narrating the events to King Parīkṣit as part of the concluding pastimes and transitions described in Canto 11.
Even the greatest beings honor divine will and sacred turning points; a modern practitioner can learn to approach life’s transitions with reverence, humility, and alignment with dharma.
