Mārkaṇḍeya Ṛṣi Tested by Indra and Blessed by Nara-Nārāyaṇa
ते वै भगवतो रूपे नरनारायणावृषी । दृष्ट्वोत्थायादरेणोच्चैर्ननामाङ्गेन दण्डवत् ॥ ३५ ॥
te vai bhagavato rūpe nara-nārāyaṇāv ṛṣī dṛṣṭvotthāyādareṇoccair nanāmāṅgena daṇḍa-vat
这两位圣者——那罗与那罗延——正是至上主的亲身形相。马尔坎德耶仙人一见到他们，立刻起身，以至诚恭敬行“杖身礼”，全身伏地顶礼。
