Brahmā’s Day, the Four Pralayas, and the Supreme Shelter Beyond Cause–Effect
तदन्ते प्रलयस्तावान् ब्राह्मी रात्रिरुदाहृता । त्रयो लोका इमे तत्र कल्पन्ते प्रलयाय हि ॥ ३ ॥
tad-ante pralayas tāvān brāhmī rātrir udāhṛtā trayo lokā ime tatra kalpante pralayāya hi
在那一日终了之后,便有同等时长的毁灭期,被称为梵天之夜。那时三界诸世界皆受毁坏所摄。
It states that after Brahmā’s day ends, an equally long period of dissolution occurs, known as Brahmā’s night, during which the three worlds are withdrawn toward dissolution.
To teach him the vast cycles of cosmic time and the inevitability of dissolution, strengthening detachment from temporary worlds and focus on the eternal Supreme.
Remembering that even worlds dissolve helps one reduce anxiety over temporary gains and losses and prioritize lasting spiritual practice—bhakti and remembrance of the Lord.
