Since any topic related to Lord Kṛṣṇa is auspicious and transcendental, the direct narration of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s own activities, political and nonpolitical, is certainly the supreme subject matter for hearing. The word nityam here indicates regulated cultivation of the topics of Lord Kṛṣṇa, and abhīkṣṇam indicates constant remembrance of such regulated spiritual experiences.
This verse teaches that repeatedly hearing the narrations that glorify the Lord (Uttamaśloka)—especially Kṛṣṇa-kathā—destroys inauspiciousness and leads to pure devotion.
Because constant hearing of the Lord’s qualities steadily removes inner and outer misfortune (amaṅgala) and nourishes “amalā bhakti,” unwavering, uncontaminated devotion to Kṛṣṇa.
Make daily time for Bhagavatam listening/reading, keep Kṛṣṇa’s glories in your routine (commute, morning practice), and return to Hari-kathā repeatedly to replace anxiety and negativity with devotion.
