पुराणसङ्ख्यासम्भूतिमस्य वाच्यप्रयोजने । दानं दानस्य माहात्म्यं पाठादेश्च निबोधत ॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration

purāṇa-saṅkhyā-sambhūtim asya vācya-prayojane dānaṁ dānasya māhātmyaṁ pāṭhādeś ca nibodhata

Translation

现在请听各部《往世书》偈颂数量的概要；继而请听此《博伽梵往世书》的主要主题与宗旨、作为供施赠与的正确方法、此类布施的功德，以及最后聆听与诵读/唱诵此圣典的功德。
