Hari’s Special Mercy, Śiva’s Quick Boons, and the Deliverance from Vṛkāsura
हरिर्हि निर्गुण: साक्षात् पुरुष: प्रकृते: पर: । स सर्वदृगुपद्रष्टा तं भजन् निर्गुणो भवेत् ॥ ५ ॥
harir hi nirguṇaḥ sākṣāt puruṣaḥ prakṛteḥ paraḥ sa sarva-dṛg upadraṣṭā taṁ bhajan nirguṇo bhavet
然而,哈利本然无涉诸德(nirguṇa),是超越物质自然的至上人格神;他遍观一切,为永恒的见证者。礼拜他的人也将同样超越三德。
Lord Viṣṇu is situated in His own transcendental position, beyond the material energy. Why, therefore, should His worship bear the fruit of material opulence? The real fruit of worshiping Lord Viṣṇu is transcendental knowledge. Thus Lord Viṣṇu’s worshiper gains the eye of transcendental knowledge instead of being blinded by mundane assets. The Lord being the detached witness of the material creation, His devotee also becomes aloof from the interaction of the Lord’s inferior energies.
This verse teaches that Hari is beyond material nature, and by worshiping Him one becomes nirguṇa—freed from the influence of the modes of nature.
To establish that the Supreme Lord is transcendent yet fully aware of all beings and actions, overseeing the universe while remaining untouched by material qualities.
Cultivate steady devotion—hearing, chanting, and remembering Hari—so your choices become less driven by passion and ignorance and more aligned with clarity, compassion, and spiritual purpose.
