Vasudeva and Devakī Glorify Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma; The Recovery of Devakī’s Six Sons from Sutala
taṁ dṛṣṭvā devakī devī mṛtāgamana-nirgamam mene su-vismitā māyāṁ kṛṣṇasya racitāṁ nṛpa
It says Devakī recognized the extraordinary event—her dead sons appearing again—as māyā arranged by Kṛṣṇa, indicating His supreme control over divine potency.
Because the reappearance of those who had died is beyond ordinary nature; Devakī understood it as a special divine arrangement of Kṛṣṇa’s power, not a mundane occurrence.
The verse encourages seeing extraordinary events through the lens of Bhagavān’s śakti—cultivating humility and devotion, rather than pride or mere fascination with the miraculous.
