Sudāmā Brāhmaṇa: Divine Friendship, Guru-bhakti, and the Lord’s Grace
अथोपवेश्य पर्यङ्के स्वयं सख्यु: समर्हणम् । उपहृत्यावनिज्यास्य पादौ पादावनेजनी: ॥ २० ॥ अग्रहीच्छिरसा राजन् भगवाँल्लोकपावन: । व्यलिम्पद् दिव्यगन्धेन चन्दनागुरुकुङ्कुमै: ॥ २१ ॥ धूपै: सुरभिभिर्मित्रं प्रदीपावलिभिर्मुदा । अर्चित्वावेद्य ताम्बूलं गां च स्वागतमब्रवीत् ॥ २२ ॥
athopaveśya paryaṅke svayam sakhyuḥ samarhaṇam upahṛtyāvanijyāsya pādau pādāvanejanīḥ
随后,主奎师那让朋友苏达玛坐在床上。大王啊,净化世间的薄伽梵亲自致敬:为他洗足,并将洗足之水洒在自己头上。又以天香檀香、沉香与红粉为他涂抹;欢喜地以芬芳之香与成列明灯供奉礼拜。最后献上槟榔,并赠一头母牛,以悦耳之语致以欢迎。
In this verse, Kṛṣṇa personally seats Sudāmā and washes his feet, showing that the Lord lovingly serves and honors His devotee.
