The Slaying of Śālva and the Destruction of Saubha

He went because King Yudhiṣṭhira invited Him for the Rājasūya sacrifice, and this verse notes Kṛṣṇa’s return to that setting after the sacrifice concluded and Śiśupāla was slain.
Śiśupāla’s death marks the completion of a major dharmic event (the Rājasūya) and illustrates how the Lord’s actions conclude adharma while granting destiny-fulfilling results within His līlā.
Honor dharma and sacred commitments: complete responsibilities properly, and remember that the Lord’s presence in one’s life often comes through service, invitation, and sincere duty.
