Rājasūya: Agrapūjā for Kṛṣṇa and the Slaying (and Liberation) of Śiśupāla
तत: पाण्डुसुता: क्रुद्धा मत्स्यकैकयसृञ्जया: । उदायुधा: समुत्तस्थु: शिशुपालजिघांसव: ॥ ४१ ॥
tataḥ pāṇḍu-sutāḥ kruddhā matsya-kaikaya-sṛñjayāḥ udāyudhāḥ samuttasthuḥ śiśupāla-jighāṁsavaḥ
于是般度之子怒火中烧,与摩蹉、凯迦耶、斯林阇耶诸族勇士一同执兵而起,离座列立,欲诛尸输波罗。
Because Śiśupāla was openly insulting and offending Śrī Kṛṣṇa in the royal assembly, the kṣatriya kings—led by the Pāṇḍavas and their allies—rose in anger to punish him.
They are allied royal clans present at Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rājasūya sacrifice, supporting the Pāṇḍavas and sharing their resolve to stop Śiśupāla’s aggression and blasphemy.
Stand up against wrongdoing and abuse—especially against the sacred and the virtuous—while keeping one’s actions aligned with dharma rather than personal vengeance.
