Balarāma Humbles the Kurus and Rescues Sāmba
राम रामाखिलाधार प्रभावं न विदाम ते । मूढानां न: कुबुद्धीनां क्षन्तुमर्हस्यतिक्रमम् ॥ ४४ ॥
rāma rāmākhilādhāra prabhāvaṁ na vidāma te mūḍhānāṁ naḥ ku-buddhīnāṁ kṣantum arhasy atikramam
噢罗摩,罗摩,万有之所依!我们不知你的威力。我们愚昧而迷误,愿你宽恕我们的冒犯。
‘Akhilādhāra’ means “the support of all,” acknowledging Balarāma (Rāma) as the sustaining foundation of the entire cosmos and all beings.
They admit their ignorance of His greatness and beg pardon for their transgression, recognizing that their misguided actions arose from foolishness and poor understanding.
It teaches sincere repentance: admit one’s limitation, avoid self-justification, and seek forgiveness with humility—an essential mood for bhakti and healthy relationships.
