Kṛṣṇa Visits Trivakrā; Akrūra’s Praise and the Hastināpura Mission
अक्रूरभवनं कृष्ण: सहरामोद्धव: प्रभु: । किञ्चिच्चिकीर्षयन् प्रागादक्रूरप्रीयकाम्यया ॥ १२ ॥
akrūra-bhavanaṁ kṛṣṇaḥ saha-rāmoddhavaḥ prabhuḥ kiñcic cikīrṣayan prāgād akrūra-priya-kāmyayā
随后,主奎师那与巴拉罗摩、乌达婆同往阿克鲁罗家,欲安排若干事务;主亦愿使阿克鲁罗心生欢喜。
The previous incident of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s visit to Trivakrā’s house, and now His visit to Akrūra’s, gives a fascinating glimpse into the daily activities of Śrī Kṛṣṇa in Mathurā City.
Kṛṣṇa went with Balarāma and Uddhava to Akrūra’s residence both to accomplish certain necessary affairs and to please His devotee Akrūra.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates this verse to Mahārāja Parīkṣit as part of the Mathurā pastimes.
The verse highlights that genuine devotion includes honoring and caring for devotees—seeking their welfare and happiness while performing one’s duties.
