Uddhava Meets the Gopīs: Bhramara-gītā and Kṛṣṇa’s Message of Separation
कृष्णाय प्रणिपत्याह भक्त्युद्रेकं व्रजौकसाम् । वसुदेवाय रामाय राज्ञे चोपायनान्यदात् ॥ ६९ ॥
kṛṣṇāya praṇipatyāha bhakty-udrekaṁ vrajaukasām vasudevāya rāmāya rājñe copāyanāny adāt
乌达婆俯伏礼拜主奎师那,向祂陈述弗拉阇居民汹涌无比的奉爱;他也将此事禀告瓦苏提婆、主巴拉罗摩与乌格罗塞那王,并奉上所携带的贡礼。
Thus end the purports of the humble servants of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda to the Tenth Canto, Forty-seventh Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, entitled “The Song of the Bee.”
This verse highlights that the devotion of the Vraja residents is so intense that it must be specifically reported to Kṛṣṇa—an “overflow” of bhakti that stands as the standard of pure love.
After returning from Vraja, Uddhava offers respects to Kṛṣṇa and relays the gopīs’ and Vrajavāsīs’ extraordinary devotion, completing his mission as Kṛṣṇa’s messenger.
Carry messages of devotion and encouragement between devotees, and show gratitude and respect through appropriate offerings and service to elders, teachers, and spiritual leaders.
