Akrūra’s Mission: The Departure from Vraja and the Yamunā Vision of Viṣṇu-Ananta
गोप्यश्च दयितं कृष्णमनुव्रज्यानुरञ्जिता: । प्रत्यादेशं भगवत: काङ्क्षन्त्यश्चावतस्थिरे ॥ ३४ ॥
gopyaś ca dayitaṁ kṛṣṇam anuvrajyānurañjitāḥ pratyādeśaṁ bhagavataḥ kāṅkṣantyaś cāvatasthire
主奎师那以目光稍稍安抚了牧女们。她们也跟随了一段路,随后停下,盼望从至上主那里得到一句嘱咐。
Because they were longing for Kṛṣṇa to call them back—hoping for a final instruction or sign that He would return—revealing their intense love in separation (viraha).
This verse shows that separation can intensify remembrance and surrender: the gopīs cannot let go of Kṛṣṇa, and even their stillness becomes prayerful waiting for His mercy.
By cultivating steady remembrance when one feels distant from God—continuing sādhana, prayer, and service with the faith that the Lord’s guidance and presence will again be felt.
