The Lord’s Advent: Yoga-māyā’s Mission, Saṅkarṣaṇa’s Transfer, and the Demigods’ Prayers
ते पीडिता निविविशु: कुरुपञ्चालकेकयान् । शाल्वान् विदर्भान् निषधान् विदेहान् कोशलानपि ॥ ३ ॥
te pīḍitā niviviśuḥ kuru-pañcāla-kekayān śālvān vidarbhān niṣadhān videhān kośalān api
雅度族遭诸魔王迫害,遂离开本国,进入库鲁、般遮罗、计迦耶、沙尔瓦、毗达婆、尼沙陀、毗提诃与拘萨罗等诸国。
Because they were being tormented by Kaṁsa’s rule, they escaped his oppression and sought safety by entering other kingdoms.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī speaks this verse to Mahārāja Parīkṣit while narrating the circumstances surrounding Kṛṣṇa’s imminent appearance.
When adharma becomes oppressive, one should seek proper shelter—safe association, righteous leadership, and ultimately refuge in the Lord and His devotees.
