Garuḍa, Saubhari’s Curse, Kāliya’s Refuge, and Kṛṣṇa Saves Vraja from Forest Fire
कृष्ण कृष्ण महाभाग हे रामामितविक्रम । एष घोरतमो वह्निस्तावकान् ग्रसते हि न: ॥ २३ ॥
kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa mahā-bhaga he rāmāmita-vikrama eṣa ghoratamo vahnis tāvakān grasate hi naḥ
弗拉阇众人呼喊:“奎师那!奎师那!大福德之主啊!无量威力的罗摩啊!这最可怖的烈火正要吞噬我们——你的奉献者!”
In this verse the Vrajavāsīs cry out to Krishna and Balarama as a terrifying fire approaches, showing that devotees take shelter of the Lord in crisis, trusting His power to protect His own.
They were overwhelmed by fear of the forest fire and urgently appealed to both brothers—Krishna and Balarama—acknowledging their extraordinary strength and their role as the protectors of Vraja.
When facing overwhelming problems, adopt the mood of śaraṇāgati (taking shelter): call upon Krishna with sincerity, remember you are His dependent, and act responsibly while keeping faith that divine guidance and protection are real.
