Kāliya-damana: Kṛṣṇa Subdues the Serpent and Purifies the Yamunā
विधेहि ते किङ्करीणामनुष्ठेयं तवाज्ञया । यच्छ्रद्धयानुतिष्ठन् वै मुच्यते सर्वतोभयात् ॥ ५३ ॥
vidhehi te kiṅkarīṇām anuṣṭheyaṁ tavājñayā yac-chraddhayānutiṣṭhan vai mucyate sarvato bhayāt
如今请告诉我们这些侍女,应当依您的命令做什么。凡以信心奉行您旨意的人,必从一切恐惧中解脱。
The surrender of Kāliya’s wives was now complete, and Lord Kṛṣṇa immediately gave them His mercy, as described in the following verses.
This verse says that one who faithfully follows Krishna’s command becomes freed from fear on all sides—fear dissolves through śraddhā-filled obedience and surrender.
After Krishna subdued Kāliya, the Nāga-patnīs approached in humility, accepted Krishna as their Lord, and sought His instruction so their service and repentance would be guided by His will.
Adopt a life of faithful practice—follow divine guidance (guru, śāstra, and sincere conscience aligned with dharma) and perform your duties as service; this steadies the mind and reduces anxiety and fear.
