एवं विमृश्य तं पापं यावदात्मनिदर्शनम् । पूजयामास वै शौरिर्बहुमानपुर:सरम् ॥ ५२ ॥
evaṁ vimṛśya taṁ pāpaṁ yāvad-ātmani-darśanam pūjayām āsa vai śaurir bahu-māna-puraḥsaram
他在自己所能及的见识范围内如此思量之后,首里婆苏提婆便以极大的敬意向那罪恶的迦ṁ萨呈上自己的提议。
This verse highlights introspection (ātma-nidarśanam)—carefully examining one’s own wrongdoing—and then acting with humility and respect, showing that repentance in the Bhagavatam is both inner reflection and outward rectification in conduct.
Śauri here refers to Vasudeva, a prominent Yādava, who is described as honoring another person after reflecting on a sinful act.
