FAQs

This verse shows a direct prayer to Lord Shiva: because the injured devas and priests are under his protection, the speaker asks that their pain and distress be removed quickly—highlighting Shiva as an empowered protector who can grant immediate relief.

After the sacrificial arena was devastated and many were injured, Bhrigu addresses Lord Shiva to seek restoration and freedom from suffering for the devas and priests, acknowledging Shiva’s capacity to protect and heal those who take shelter of him.

When harm has occurred, this verse models taking responsibility and offering a sincere prayer for others’ well-being—seeking protection, healing, and peace rather than escalating conflict.
