Brahmā Counsels the Demigods; Journey to Kailāsa; Śiva’s Tranquility and Brahmā’s Praise
वैदूर्यकृतसोपाना वाप्य उत्पलमालिनी: । प्राप्तं किम्पुरुषैर्दृष्ट्वा त आराद्ददृशुर्वटम् ॥ ३१ ॥
vaidūrya-kṛta-sopānā vāpya utpala-mālinīḥ prāptaṁ kimpuruṣair dṛṣṭvā ta ārād dadṛśur vaṭam
他们又见到:浴池的台阶皆以吠琉璃宝所成,水面遍布青莲。越过这些莲池,诸天在不远处望见一株巨大的榕树。
It describes a beautiful sacred pond with gem-made steps and lotus garlands, and mentions the presence of the Kimpuruṣas, after which a banyan tree is seen nearby.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating these details to Mahārāja Parīkṣit as part of the description of the events around Dakṣa’s sacrificial arena.
It reminds readers that holy narratives often highlight sacred environments to awaken reverence—encouraging one to cultivate inner purity and devotional mood wherever one lives.
