The Fall of Purañjana and the Supersoul as the Eternal Friend
Purañjana-Upākhyāna Culmination
साक्षाद्भगवतोक्तेन गुरुणा हरिणा नृप । विशुद्धज्ञानदीपेन स्फुरता विश्वतोमुखम् ॥ ४१ ॥
sākṣād bhagavatoktena guruṇā hariṇā nṛpa viśuddha-jñāna-dīpena sphuratā viśvato-mukham
因此,摩罗耶陀婆阇王因其清净之境,得至上人格神哈利亲自以导师之身开示,而证得圆满正知。凭借这盏超然智慧之灯,他能从一切角度洞见万事万物。
In this verse the words sākṣād bhagavatoktena guruṇā hariṇā are very significant. The Supreme Personality of Godhead speaks directly to the individual soul when the devotee has completely purified himself by rendering devotional service to the Lord. Lord Kṛṣṇa confirms this also in Bhagavad-gītā (10.10) :
This verse affirms that the true guru conveys the Lord’s own message and thus functions as Hari’s direct representative, awakening pure knowledge in the disciple.
Śukadeva is instructing Parīkṣit within the Purañjana allegory, emphasizing that spiritual illumination comes through the Lord’s authorized teacher, not merely through worldly power or learning.
Seek guidance from an authentic Bhagavata teacher, study the Lord’s teachings with humility, and align daily choices with devotion—so knowledge becomes transformative, not just informational.
