Raivata and Cākṣuṣa Manvantaras; Brahmā’s Prayers at Śvetadvīpa
Prelude to Samudra-manthana
ṣaṣṭhaś ca cakṣuṣaḥ putraś cākṣuṣo nāma vai manuḥ pūru-pūruṣa-sudyumna- pramukhāś cākṣuṣātmajāḥ
Cākṣuṣa Manu is described here as the sixth Manu, the son of Cakṣu, who presides over one manvantara (a cycle of cosmic administration).
He is outlining the manvantara framework and dynastic lineages that structure the Bhagavatam’s historical narration, setting context for events involving devas, Manus, and their eras.
It highlights that life unfolds within divinely ordered cycles and responsibilities—encouraging respect for dharma, lineage of teachings, and one’s duty within a larger sacred order.
