The Future Manus and the Avatāras in Their Manvantaras
आदित्या वसवो रुद्रा विश्वेदेवा मरुद्गणा: । अश्विनावृभवो राजन्निन्द्रस्तेषां पुरन्दर: ॥ ४ ॥
ādityā vasavo rudrā viśvedevā marud-gaṇāḥ aśvināv ṛbhavo rājann indras teṣāṁ purandaraḥ
大王啊,在此摩奴时期,阿底提耶、婆苏、鲁陀罗、毗湿维提婆、马鲁特众、两位阿湿毗尼童子以及里布众,皆为天神;他们的首领因陀罗名为“破城者”普兰达罗。
They are principal classes of devas who manage universal functions; this verse lists them as prominent divine groups within the manvantara being described.
Śukadeva is narrating the structure of cosmic administration across manvantaras to Parīkṣit, and the direct address keeps the teaching anchored in the king’s inquiry about time, rulers, and divine governance.
