This verse says the demigods regained their consciousness and power specifically by the Supreme Person’s great compassion, and then they were able to defeat the enemies who had previously overwhelmed them.
They are presented as leaders among the demigods in the renewed battle, showing that once their clarity and courage returned by the Lord’s mercy, the principal devas spearheaded the counterattack.
When one feels defeated or mentally overwhelmed, the verse emphasizes seeking higher grace—through prayer, devotion, and remembrance of Bhagavān—so clarity returns and one can face challenges with steadiness and renewed strength.
