Deva–Asura Battle after the Nectar; Bali’s Illusions and Hari’s Intervention
tasya karmottamaṁ vīkṣya durmarṣaḥ śaktim ādade tāṁ jvalantīṁ maholkābhāṁ hasta-sthām acchinad dhariḥ
This verse shows Hari’s immediate, decisive protection—He neutralizes the demon’s blazing spear before it can be used, demonstrating the Lord’s supremacy over all weapons and threats.
Seeing the extraordinary valor of his opponent, Durmarṣa escalated the fight by selecting a powerful weapon (śakti), but Hari’s superior power rendered it ineffective instantly.
When confronted by intense obstacles, remember that divine shelter (Hari) can remove dangers at their source; cultivate steadiness and reliance on God rather than fear of “blazing” problems.
