Devahūti’s son was known as Kapila, and Ākūti’s son was known as Yajñamūrti. Both of Them taught about religion and philosophical knowledge.
This verse says the Supreme Lord accepts birth (as a son) specifically to teach dharma and spiritual knowledge to the world.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating to Mahārāja Parīkṣit while describing the Manus and the Lord’s arrangements for guiding the universe.
